In a surprising occurrence, the prestigious Louvre Museum was forced to close after a daring robbery that saw culprits escape with nine valuable jewelry items.
Although specifics are still emerging, sources suggest 3 disguised men entered the gallery just after it opened on Friday.
The thieves allegedly used an outside hoist that was installed for current refurbishment projects to infiltrate the famous gallery room, found along the River Seine side.
