Two individuals are now facing charges in connection with a suitcase robbery where a substance thought to be capsaicin spray led to people being hurt at the major London air hub.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and two counts of administering a noxious substance, authorities have stated.
This legal action stems from an probe of an assault at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases taken after exiting a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.
A three-year-old girl was among those injured in the event. A total of five individuals required hospital care and were eventually allowed to go home.
This event – described by police as was a standalone event and not considered a terror-related act – caused disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
