A woman indicted with harassing Kate McCann reportedly left her a voicemail message which questioned: "suppose I am Madeleine?"
The defendant, 24, who witnesses stated has persistently asserted she was the missing Madeleine McCann, and her co-defendant are standing trial indicted with pursuing Kate and Gerry McCann from June 2022 and February 2025.
On Monday, the court heard communication data and evidence recovered from phones logged Ms Wandelt repeatedly demanding Madeleine's mother for a biological test over the past two years.
Madeleine's vanishing in 2007 - when she was three years old during a vacation in Portugal - is one of the most covered missing child cases and continues to be unresolved.
A separate voicemail, played in court, recorded Ms Wandelt stating: "I realize I'm fat and unattractive like Madeleine was, but I feel what I know."
While another instance of Ms Wandelt's monologues with Mrs McCann's voicemail expressed: "Suppose there is a small chance that I am she? What then? Isn't that significant for you?"
"I don't want money, I possess a existence here in Poland, I just want to understand," the message continued.
The jury was told that by means of emails, SMS messages and communications, Ms Wandelt demanded a DNA test, transmitted childhood photos to her phone in a bid to display a similarity to Mrs McCann's vanished daughter, and stated to have "flashbacks" from a childhood with the McCanns.
The investigator, a data specialist with law enforcement who gathered the evidence, advised the court there "seemed to lack any answers" from Mrs McCann.
Ms Wandelt also contacted close associates of the McCanns, according to the call data.
On 9 October 2024, the father responded to a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "the wrong phone."
On that occasion Ms Wandelt left a recording on Mrs McCann's recording declaring "I won't give up and I will prove my claim."
The court learned the co-defendant developed a relationship via internet with Ms Wandelt before assisting her on a appearance to the McCanns' property in that area in December 2024.
