On Monday, the court heard communication data and evidence recovered from phones logged Ms Wandelt repeatedly demanding Madeleine's mother for a biological test over the past two years.

Madeleine's vanishing in 2007 - when she was three years old during a vacation in Portugal - is one of the most covered missing child cases and continues to be unresolved.

'I Am Not Seeking Money'

A separate voicemail, played in court, recorded Ms Wandelt stating: "I realize I'm fat and unattractive like Madeleine was, but I feel what I know."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's monologues with Mrs McCann's voicemail expressed: "Suppose there is a small chance that I am she? What then? Isn't that significant for you?"

"I don't want money, I possess a existence here in Poland, I just want to understand," the message continued.

The jury was told that by means of emails, SMS messages and communications, Ms Wandelt demanded a DNA test, transmitted childhood photos to her phone in a bid to display a similarity to Mrs McCann's vanished daughter, and stated to have "flashbacks" from a childhood with the McCanns.

The investigator, a data specialist with law enforcement who gathered the evidence, advised the court there "seemed to lack any answers" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt also contacted close associates of the McCanns, according to the call data.

On 9 October 2024, the father responded to a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "the wrong phone."

On that occasion Ms Wandelt left a recording on Mrs McCann's recording declaring "I won't give up and I will prove my claim."

The court learned the co-defendant developed a relationship via internet with Ms Wandelt before assisting her on a appearance to the McCanns' property in that area in December 2024.

Call logs showed Mrs Spragg had contacted via communication app to Mrs McCann to state the news outlets had characterized Ms Wandelt as "a crazy person" but that she ought to be considered genuine in the time preceding the appearance to Rothley, the county, in December 2024.

The court was told correspondence between the two defendants, in that autumn, considering endeavoring to acquire Mrs McCann's DNA samples from her garbage or from silverware at a restaurant.

"We must make a stand," Mrs Spragg told Ms Wandelt.

On the occasion of the trip to their home, the defendant transmitted a communication which said: "We are positioned adjacent to the McCanns' house with our headlights off like detectives. I wanted to do this with another person I didn't imagine I would be doing that with the McCanns."

The proceedings proceeds.
