Loyal supporters of the actress are demanding that a individual who breached a barrier and seized the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good debut be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.
A circulating footage reveals the individual from Australia pushing past media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the cast proceeded down a promenade surrounded by onlookers.
Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the shocked star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the gathering by security officers.
Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being arrested", though court documents indicated that he was due to appear on Friday morning. It is uncertain if he was formally accused.
This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram feed contains clips of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at the pop singer's Sydney concert in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the same location last year.
"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," stated an Instagram commenter, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his behavior.
"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" a different Instagram user questioned.
Numerous followers blamed Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had spoken of dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the conclusion of her spring 2017 performance in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding many.
"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote another comment on Instagram.
Several attendees also questioned event staff at the gathering for not being vigilant enough; while others called for social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's uploads.
In footage shared widely, Grande looked surprised when she was approached by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed reassuring her while Mr Wen was removed by staff.
Grande has not commented on the incident, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.
Numerous of supporters had congregated in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good regional premiere in a Singapore shopping center, including several who had queued for as long as eight hours before it started.
The movie, to be premiered on the 21st of November, is the sequel of a two-part interpretation of the popular Broadway and West End show Wicked, which centers on the unlikely bond between two contrasting characters.
The musical itself is a derivative of the 1900 children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a rosé glittering gown at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.
They were alongside fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.
The first movie, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of last year in the UK, and earned 10 award recognitions, winning two for best costume and set decoration.
